It’s always the journey and never the destination.
I know what you’re going to say…”you have to have goals or how are you going to get to where you want to go”…I get it and goals are important, however spend time on the little things everyday and they will add up to big things later. Focus on the journey and the goals will take care of themselves.
Acknowledge the day. Ultimately, it’s all you have.
Yes this old chestnut..”Yesterday is gone, Tomorrow is promised to no one, Today is all you have” Our lives are just a series of moments and all you have is the moment you’re in right now so put your attention on the moment not the future or the past.
Listen to your body. It knows more than you do.
Yes I know the mind can push the body beyond what you think you’re capable of. That said, tell that to the guy with his hamstring ripped off the bone and in surgery….Learn the difference between good pain and bad pain and back off when required. Your body will thank you for it and you will live to fight another day.
Always I mean ALWAYS acknowledge the things you do well and not just the things you don’t.
We are all our own best friends and our worst enemies. Pay attention to what you’re paying attention to and monitor your thoughts carefully. Your thoughts shape your reality of yourself and everything around you and will ultimately dictate what you can achieve, who you think you are and who you think you can become.
